2010 Mohyla Lecture on Holodomor-Famine of 1932-33 at STM

February 22, 2010 -- The Prairie Centre for the Study of Ukrainian Heritage invites you to attend the 2010 Mohyla Lecture on February 26, @ 7 pm, in the Shannon Library of STM College in Saskatoon. Dr. David Marples of the University of Alberta will deliver a lecture on the "Causes of Holodomor-Famine in Ukraine, in 1932-1933". Reception to follow.

February 11, 2010 -- Heritage Day is an opportunity to celebrate the architectural heritage and historic places of Canada. The Heritage Canada Foundation promotes the third Monday in February each year as Heritage Day and has long advocated adopting this date as a national holiday. Tickets still available for 2010 Heritage Forum

February 11, 2010 -- Heritage Saskatchewan, the new collective voice of all those who value heritage in Saskatchewan, will stage its inaugural Heritage Sask Forum and Annual General Meeting at Saskatoon's Delta Bessborough, February 19-20, 2010. Tickets are also still available for the banquet on Friday night, featuring Keynote Speaker Arthur Black, and the Forum / AGM on Saturday. January 13, 2010 -- The Saskatoon branch of the Ukrainian Canadian Professional and Business Association is holding its 9th Annual King of the Kovbasa Challenge February 11, 2010 at the Western Development Museum. Proceeds will go to the Saskatchewan Abilities Council. Entertainment provided by the Yevshan Ukrainian Folk Ballet Ensemble; emcee -- CJWW radio host Steve Shannon.
