What is the Communicator?

The Communicator Program follows a Train-the-Trainer model and is built around a blended learning approach, combining self-directed learning in Moodle with virutal synchronous sessions for each course. • Fundamentals of community interpretation and translation, including ethics, professional standards, and best practices.
    • Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Creating Safe Spaces
    • Indigenous Peoples of Canada
  • Electives:
    • Justice, Legal & Policing
    • Education
    • Employment
    • Financial Literacy
    • Healthcare
    • Trauma-Informed Practice
    • Train-the-Trainer (by invitation)

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Community interpreters or translators working or volunteering with a Service Provider Organization (SPO) across the Prairies
