Immigration Coordinator Opportunity in Regina

September 7, 2007 – The Government of Saskatchewan (Minister Responsible for Immigration) has signed a contract with Ukrainian Canadian Congress Regina Branch to facilitate the settlement and integration of provincial nominees and their families. Part of the funding provided is to enable us to hire an Immigration Coordinator. The following is a brief summary of the job requirements. A Saskatchewan driver's licence and access to a vehicle is also a requirement. Please feel free to circulate this information as widely as possible and encourage people to suggest an appropriate candidate.

REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY:
IMMIGRATION SETTLEMENT COORDINATOR FOR REGINA AND SOUTH SASKATCHEWAN

A brief description of the terms are:

  • The position would be a contract position, for a term of 1 year commencing September 15, 2007. Any extension of such term would depend on available funding.
  • The position will be 3 days per week (7 1/2 hours per day). An additional 30 days over the year will be spent on outreach for immigrants living outside of Regina but in Southern Saskatchewan.
  • The coordinator will be responsible for assisting Ukrainian immigrants with their settlement in Regina and Southern Saskatchewan. The coordinator will be assisted by Ukrainian Canadian Congress - Regina
    Branch's Immigration Committee.
  • The coordinator must have ability to communicate effectively in both English and Ukrainian.
  • The coordinator must have computer skills sufficient to do correspondence, presentations and book keeping.
