Provide your name, address, phone number, age and a "One Page" description stating your involvement in the Ukrainian Community (example: Ukrainian dancing, Ukrainian language school, Church activities, Community volunteer), and why you would like to be a Youth Ambassador and what would it mean to you.

From the Regina Multicultural Council requirements:

INTRODUCTION

Mosaic Youth Ambassadors take pride in their cultural heritage and have a strong desire to promote and enhance their identity within the community. They must understand the history of their ethnic group and be committed to a positive vision for the future.

Youth ambassadors provide the link between the today’s Mosaic and an even brighter future.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  1. To recognize the significance of our young people in Regina’s Multicultural Mosaic.
  2. To foster in youth a greater awareness of their cultural heritage.
  3. To foster in youth a better understanding and appreciation for people of other races and cultures.
  4. To increase the level of participation by youth in all aspects of Mosaic.

SELECTION GUIDELINES

Each Pavilion should appoint two (2) Youth Ambassadors (preferably one male and one female) on the following basis:

  1. Should be between the ages of 16 and 23 at the time of Mosaic.
  2. Should be a resident of Regina.
  3. The hosting organization may request their candidate(s) to submit a biography/report for selection purposes.
  4. Must have knowledge of culture of the pavilion.
  5. Confident in public speaking and hosting abilities.
  6. Should be enthusiastic, motivated, mature, reliable, independent thinker, team player and ability to work with a minimum supervision.
  7. Has a positive vision of the community and supportive attitude towards the goals and objectives of the hosting organization.
