Vesna Festival: Weyburn Ukrainian Dance Club

January 17, 2006 -- The Weyburn Ukrainian Dance Club invites you to join them at their Vesna Festival.

at the Weyburn Curling Rink in Weyburn

Cocktails: 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Supper: 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Program: 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, $10 for children 5-12 and $5 for children under 5.

Weyburn & District UCCC activity

March 3, 2005 --

• March 12 weekend we are having an Easter egg painting workshop. We will be painting 16 dozen eggs.
• April 16, we are having our Vesna Festival. Four girls will be getting their ribbons and the boys will get their poyas (belt).
• The centennial committee has invited us to host a cultural event on September 4, Saskatchewan's birthday, with Ukrainian dancers, music, and food.
• We are going to have a float at the this year's Weyburn Fair Parade.
• Our dance group is competing in Regina, Yorkton & Russell, MB Ukrainian dance festivals.
• We are having a perogy-making day on March 17. For both Easters, we are either going to bake paskas, babkas & poppy seed rolls, if we can find an instructor, or we will purchase the breads from the Regina group.
• Also a few members will be attending the Myron Kowalsky supper March 9, 2005 in Regina.

At its March 20, 2004 Board Meeting in Prince Albert, the UCC-SPC accepted the Weyburn & District Ukrainian Canadian Cultural Council as a branch. UCC-SPC welcomes President Stan Ganczar (file photo at left), who joins the UCC-SPC Board as a Director.
