YAN helps promote culture at MLA reception

On May 19th, YAN Coordinator Lee Reaney, Advisory Committee members Lorin Gardypie and Larissa Lozowchuk, and Project Leader Guylaine Patenaude attended an MLA Reception hosted by SaskCulture.

Several MLAs were in attendance including Premier Lorne Calvert, Opposition Leader Brad Wall and Minister of Culture, Youth and Recreation Joan Beatty.

The event focussed on youth and Guylaine was asked to speak regarding her participation in culture as a youth in Saskatchewan. She spoke about her participation in l’Association Jeunesse Fransaskois and how it has led her to become involved in multiculturalism and projects such as Youth Action Now.
