In recent years, the demand for CDF dollars has far exceeded available
funds. In 2007, $25,000 in grant support was allocated with requests
exceeding $31,000. The budgets of these projects and activities
totalled more than $450,000. This represents only a small portion
of the economic impact made by Saskatchewan’s Ukrainian community.
Serving our community is the highest priority for UCC-SPC. Traditional
sources of funding are increasingly limited so new ways to meet
community needs must be explored. UCC-SPC has undertaken the Live
Free for a Year lottery with the goal to significantly increase
current CDF funding levels.
Below is a list of the 37 activities funded in 2007 through the
Community Development Fund.
