Rembrandt's Restaurant located in the Senator Hotel (243 21st St E, corner of 21st St & 3rd Ave), Saskatoon You are invited to attend our monthly Ukrainian Canadian Professional & Business Association of Saskatoon luncheon. We will have two speakers, Christine Thompson and Dr. Erica Bird, who will speak about the Children's Museum. As the Children's Discovery Museum is gearing up for a move into the Mendel building, they are exploring funding partnerships and opportunities to support this transformation of the Mendel into a major family, cultural and tourist hub in Saskatoon. Christine Thompson has 15 years experience working in the non-profit, health and academic sectors with a focus on health promotion and community development. Right now, she is happily balancing work, volunteering and parenting a busy toddler. Dr. Erica Bird is a research physicist by training who is presently engaged in mothering four young children. She has visited children’s museums in Canada and the United States and has been instrumental in introducing a children's museum to Saskatoon. Both are thrilled to belong to such a committed and engaged team to fulfill the goal of bringing a new children's museum to Saskatoon's treasured Mendel building which will be a significant learning, cultural and playful destination for children, families, and educators in Saskatoon and Saskatchewan. |
