Mohyla Institute in Saskatoon seeks Executive Director

November 7, 2005 -- St. Petro Mohyla Institute
in Saskatoon, in the advent of its 90th anniversary, has a distinguished
record of service to the Ukrainian Orthodox and the Canadian community
at large as a “home-away-from home” residence for post-secondary
students, and promoting Ukrainian language and cultural development.
The Institute provides a number of academic and leadership scholarships
for its resident students enrolled in undergraduate, post-graduate
and vocational-technical programs. The Institute with a capacity
for 55 residents, and a live-in suite for the Executive Director,
is located three blocks south of the University of Saskatchewan
Campus.
The Board of Directors is recruiting for a dynamic, results-oriented
Executive Director to manage the operations of the Institute with
a team of four staff. The ideal candidate for this position will
be a self-starter with a demonstrated record of leadership, communications
and interpersonal skills, a working knowledge of the Ukrainian language
and culture, ability to work effectively with post-secondary students,
parents and the Ukrainian community at large. Essential skills for
this position include supervision, financial management, marketing/recruitment,
fund raising and the ability to use technology effectively. The
Executive Director is also expected to play an integral role in
the five-week annual summer Mohyla Ukrainian Cultural Camp which
attracts students from across Canada and the USA.
Completion of an undergraduate degree in Education, Business Administration
or other relevant disciplines, combined with at least five years
work experience relevant to this position would be preferred.
