Language Lanterns Publishes Desperate Times Trilogy

Visnyk Winter 2010 -- Award-winning Language Lanterns Publications Inc. has released a new trilogy of short stories translated from Ukrainian to English. The selected 18 authors explore the human impact of the social, political and economic upheaval in Ukraine from the tumultuous opening days of the 20th century, through World War I, the 1917 Russian Revolution, and into the early 1920s under Soviet rule. Ukrainian World Congress Calls for Restoration of Patriarch Josyf Slipyj Memorial Plaque

November 25, 2010 -- The UWC sent a letter today to Kharkiv Mayor Hennadii Kernes, with copies to Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych and Parliament Head Volodymyr Lytvyn, calling for the restoration of a memorial plaque dedicated to the former head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, Patriarch Josyf Slipyj. We will be using our main gallery as our village square, filled with an assortment of vendors for your shopping pleasure. The Museum will be buzzing with roaming minstrels, a children's choir, and an adult choir for your listening pleasure.
