UCC-SPC President Eugene Krenosky was awarded the Commemorative Medal for the Centennial of Saskatchewan during a ceremony at the University of Saskatchewan's Convocation Hall in Saskatoon on February 17, 2006.

At previous presentation ceremonies, UCC Saskatoon President Slawko Kindrachuk, UCC Canora President Paul Ortynsky and UCC Regina President Orest Warnyca as well as UCC-SPC Nation Builder and Community Recognition Committee Chair Tony Harras also received the medal, which recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to society and honours their outstanding achievements.

The Saskatchewan Centennial Medal was created in May 2003 by the Saskatchewan Legislature and established as an official honour of the Crown in right of Saskatchewan, to be presented by the Lieutenant Governor or her designate.
