Regina Ukrainian Folk Choir

September 5, 2006 -- Please come and join us! The Regina Ukrainian Folk Choir is looking for new choir members for the 2006-7 season. The Choir will be commencing weekly choir practices starting Sunday, September 10th at 7:15 pm at Selo Gardens, 1110 McNiven Avenue.

The Choir is sponsored by the Ukrainian Canadian Professional & Business Association of Regina, a non-profit organization of Ukrainian Canadians whose goals include the preservation and enhancement of Ukrainian Culture in the community.

The Choir includes members from within all groups that comprise Regina’s organized Ukrainian community and as well those whose only connection to the Ukrainian community is through the Choir. We welcome persons of all ages, backgrounds and religions.

Although our singing is in Ukrainian, many members of our choir cannot read or speak Ukrainian and every effort is made to make it easy for them to pronounce the words correctly as they sing.

The Choir has performed at many community events including Mosaic and the Rotary Christmas Carol Festival. The Choir also does carolling at Christmas as a fundraiser for various charities. To join or to get more information about the Choir call Ken at 306-789-4062. There are no fees required to participate nor are there any fundraising commitments.
