Foundation Employment Opportunity:
Program Manager for the Canadian First World War
Internment Recognition Fund
December 7, 2009 -- The Shevchenko Foundation received
funds from the Federal Government that established the Canadian First
World War Internment Recognition Fund. Interest earned on the fund
supports projects that commemorate and recognize the experience of
ethnocultural communities affected by Canada’s first national internment
operations of 1914-1920. The Program Manager will assist with the
coordination of various projects that the Fund Advisory Council (for
the Canadian First World War Internment Recognition Fund) undertakes
or for which it provides funding.
The successful candidate will possess superior project management,
communication, consulting and promotional skills; have a graduate
degree and no less than three years of government or related experience.
A working knowledge of French would be an asset. Must be prepared
to work some evenings and weekends and to travel within Canada as
required.
